Overcast Stitch & Buttons

Take out your folder, pen/pencil, and project bag. Read the start-up information and complete your bell ringer.

Objective: I can recall a back stitch and complete an overcast stitch by the end of the period 

Agenda:
  1. Review bell ringer & turn in on supply counter!
  2. Thread needles and knot
  3. Review: Back stitch
  4. Complete: Back stitch on stitch chart
  5. Demo: Overcast stitch
  6. Complete: Overcast stitch
  7. If time, demo & complete sewing on a button
Homework: 

  1. Start thinking about your pouch for your final project-- what colored felt do you want to use? What colored embroidery floss? Designs?
  2. Watch and review stitch procedures (youtube links below)


Bell ringer: What is something you need to do after you finish a stitch? How will it stay in place?
