Buttons, Sewing on Appliques, and Final Project Requirements

Take out your folder, pen/pencil, and project bag. Read the start-up information and complete your bell ringer.

Objective: I can recall how to sew on a button. I will complete sewing on a 4-hole button, sequins and appliques by the end of the period.

  1. Review bell ringer 
  2. Thread needles and knot
  3. Review: How to sew on a two hole button
  4. Complete: 2-hole button on stitch guide
  5. Demo: How to sew a 4-hole button
  6. Complete: 4-hole button
  7. Demo: Sewing on appliques and different direction stitches
  8. Discuss: Project directions, blue print directions, pinning & cutting
Homework: 
  1. Review all stitches for final project
  2. Think about blueprint for Project Pride Pouch
