Sewing Following Directions Activity #2

Take out your folder, pen/pencil, and project bag. Read the start-up information and complete your bell ringer.

Standard: 6.01 Demonstrates Hand Sewing Skills

Objective: I will be able to utilize my background knowledge of sewing and use my time management skills by following directions to create a finished product by the end of the period.

Agenda:
  1. Complete and review bell ringer 
  2. Discuss/DemoFollowing directions sewing activity
  3. Complete: Following directions sewing activity (20 minutes)-- 5 minutes per task!
  4. Turn in: Write your name on the BACK of the felt with a marker and turn in on the long prep table for a grade.
  5. Turn and Talk!:
    1. Were you able to complete the whole assignment?
    2. What was the hardest part about this assignment?
    3. Why is time management and following directions so important when completing a project?
Homework: Think about blueprint for Project Pride Pouch

Bell ringer: 
Draw out the stitch you think is easiest to do and explain the pattern in words.

*DO NOT take your bins to your table, just grab your project bag at the start of class everyday*
