Safety Curriculum Test

Take out your folder, pen/pencil. Read the start-up information and complete your bell ringer. Objective:  I will be able to understand how to stay safe and how to handle situations that may arise here at Indian Trail and at home. Agenda: DARE Test! Cupcake Lab Day 3

Objective:  I will be able to understand how to read a recipe and how to properly use a kitchen aid mixer by the end of the period Agenda: 1. Review: Cupcake Lab Day 3 2. Complete: Cupcake Lab Day 3 3. Design your ultimate dream cupcake! (flavors, frosting, design etc.) 4. Review agenda for next week! Guest Speaker (Officer Giertz) will be coming in all next week for our safety curriculum! Homework:  NONE! :) Bell Ringer: Did you enjoy cooking or sewing more? Start Culinary Math and Recipe Scaling Homework:  Complete missing projects!!! Due Monday! Bell Ringer: Do you think chocolate cupcakes are healthy? Why or why not? If not, what would be a healthy alternative?

Measuring Activity

Objective:  I will be able to understand the basics kitchen equipment and proper measuring by the end of the period Standard 6.02:  Understands and applies basics of nutrition Agenda: Go over bell ringer and pass out activity Discuss measuring lab activity-- 4 minutes at each station Demo how to measure (Dry, Liquid, and Measuring Spoons) and stations Turn and talk! Did you finish the whole assignment on time? How comfortable do you feel measuring wet and dry ingredients? What is the difference between measuring wet and dry ingredients?
